Aim	This course is designed to provide delegates with a basic understanding of the theory of heat exchange/heat transfer and to investigate the operation of different types of exchanger
Brief Description	Introduction to theory of heat exchange and associated plant equipment.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course delegates,

Understand the concepts of heat and temperature measurement Explain the fundamentals of heat transfer theory Define and explain conduction, convection and radiation Select and justify materials of construction and thermal fluid for a given application Explain the construction and method of operation of shell & tube and plate heat exchangers Practically demonstrate operation of differing heat exchange systems

NB:

If the method of assessment is limited to self-assessment, an OCS certificate of attendance will be issued. Where a delegate fails to meet the formal assessment criteria, an attendance certificate will be awarded and the case discussed with the client.
