Aim This course is designed to provide delegates with a basic understanding of the usage of graphical symbols to represent process equipment and to introduce the concept of P&IDs.

Brief Description Introduction to generic graphical methods of representing process equipment

At the end of the course delegates,

  • Produce simple P&IDs from actual plant/rig
  • Understand the difference between P&IDs and PFDs
  • Interpret and explain more complex plant P&IDs

NB:
  1. If the method of assessment is limited to self-assessment, an OCS certificate of attendance will be issued.
  2. Where a delegate fails to meet the formal assessment criteria, an attendance certificate will be awarded and the case discussed with the client.
